As of December 2, 2014, the province of Nova Scotia (under amendments made to the Animal Protection Act) now requires an exam and a Veterinary Certificate of Health for Cats and Dogs be signed by a veterinarian prior to the sale of any dog or cat in the province of Nova Scotia. Please print a copy of this form by clicking on the above link and bring it with you to your appointment. To receive the reduced fee for this service, all CURRENT OWNER AND PET INFORMATION SHOULD BE FILLED OUT IN BLUE PEN PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT. The exam cannot be completed and the veterinarian cannot sign the form, until this information is complete. This form is good for 6 months once it has been filled out, but is only good for one sale. If you have questions regarding the form, or you would like to make an appointment to have your dog or cat examined for this purpose, please contact our front desk at 902-543-5602 or email us.
I wanted to thank you again for your help last Friday. There are many animals on my farm. I love them all but I was particularly fond of little Gabby. It was only a couple weeks ago we saw her rolling in the dirt and so delighted with herself and I remember how she loved to lay on Jeff's chair and bat the tail of our other cat as she walked by. I had hoped she could have experienced more of these joys in her life.
Your skill in diagnosing and presenting her case and your compassion in helping me understand what was best for Gabby was very much appreciated.
