Our clinic cat, C.J.
In loving memory:

CJ

CJ came to us in 2003, abandoned along with several other animals. They all found homes but CJ was just so special that we decided to keep him for ourselves. When he came to us he looked nothing like his picture. He was so matted that we didn't realize he was a white cat underneath. He loved dogs, cats and any human who would give him a treat, but seemed to have an irrational fear of kittens. He loved finding a great place to curl up and nap - from desk drawers to coolers to stainless steel bowls, the more unusual the better! Although we all liked to think he was our cat, the truth was we were all his people. He was truly the King of the castle at South Shore Veterinary Services and we were but his servants! He was one of a kind and we will forever miss our big, white, fearless boy.

Wanda Publicover

Wanda started working with South Shore Veterinary Services in 1991, as the evening receptionist. She is now the manager of our busy clinic. Her invaluable knowledge, experience and abilities keep this clinic running smoothly. When not working, Wanda enjoys camping, reading and trying new recipes. She has one grown daughter, attending university, and a senior kitty named Mewsette.

Receptionists

Our friendly and knowledgeable receptionists will greet you with a smile and gladly assist you to schedule an appointment with one of our veterinarians or  animal health technicians, answer any questions you may have concerning diet, flea treatment, dewormers or your new puppy/kitten. These lovely ladies will be the first of many friendly faces you will meet when you enter our clinic and become part of our ever growing clientele.

Blue

Hi! My name is Blue and I am a blue and gold macaw. I was born in 1995 and may live to be 50 or 60 years old. I love music, nuts, seeds and fruit and will show off when children come to visit. I moved to South Shore Veterinary Services in 2016, after having to leave my previous owner's house. She still comes to visit me though!

Marshall

Marshall came to us in 2017 when a good samaritan found him and brought him to the clinic in hopes of finding his family. We searched and searched but nobody came forward to claim him as their own. He  quickly made it clear to us that he had settled in and we all fell in love with this mischievous boy. You can usually find him out front, getting into trouble by stealing treats. He loves laying on the reception desk, greeting clients and pets as they come into the clinic. We are so glad that Marshall found us and we think he likes it here too!

Testimonial

I wanted to thank you again for your help last Friday. There are many animals on my farm. I love them all but I was particularly fond of little Gabby. It was only a couple weeks ago we saw her rolling in the dirt and so delighted with herself and I remember how she loved to lay on Jeff's chair and bat the tail of our other cat as she walked by. I had hoped she could have experienced more of these joys in her life.
Your skill in diagnosing and presenting her case and your compassion in helping me understand what was best for Gabby was very much appreciated.
